Uninstall Office from a PC — the Office removal tool

New laptops now come with Office 365 preinstalled. Even after you uninstall it normally and install Office Professional, you still get prompts to activate Office 365. You therefore need the Office removal tool to uninstall it completely.

First, uninstall Office through Control Panel. If that doesn't work, use the easy fix tool or try uninstalling Office manually.

Important: You cannot uninstall individual apps, such as Word or Publisher, that are included in an Office suite installation. The only way to uninstall an individual app is if you purchased it as a standalone version.
